The short version. You can use NDT Nation without an account and without giving us anything — the radiation-safety and exposure calculators, the reference library, the exam study notes and a practice set all work with no sign-in and no data leaving your phone.
If you choose to create a free account, we collect your email address. If you choose to build a candidate profile, we collect what you type into it and the resume you upload. Your name, phone number and resume are shown to a hiring company only if you switch on "Let approved, paying employers see my contact details and resume" yourself. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.
We do not run advertising. We do not track you. We do not sell your personal information. We have no analytics SDK in the app.
No account is required. With no account, the app performs every calculation locally on your device and sends nothing to us. Values you type into a calculator are never transmitted.

We also record the date and version of the terms you accepted, whether and when you switched on employer contact, and which platform the profile was created on (iOS app, Android app, or web). We do this so we can show that your consent was given, and when.
We do not ask for, and you should not enter, a Social Security or national ID number, a date of birth, a driver's licence, a passport number, bank or payment details, or medical information.
The following are stored only in your app's local storage on that one device. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and we cannot read them:
Signing out, deleting your account, or deleting the app removes these.
Your certification level, methods, years of experience, city and state, travel willingness and whether you have a resume on file can be seen, without your name or contact details attached, by companies searching for technicians.
Your name, email address, phone number and resume are released to a company only when all of the following are true:
Turning that setting off stops any further release immediately. A company that already received your details may still hold them; we cannot retrieve a copy someone has already downloaded. Resume documents are shared as short-lived links that expire, never as a public URL.

We do not use any advertising network, attribution SDK, or third-party analytics service.
We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights. We have received no such requests to date.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use the Advertising Identifier, and the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to ask for.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Please do not put information in your profile that you would not want a prospective employer to read.
Your account and profile are kept until you delete them. Authentication security logs are kept by our provider for a limited period and then discarded.
Open the Account tab in the app and choose Delete my account and data, then confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, your resume file, any job applications, and your sign-in. It cannot be undone, and the app keeps working afterwards on the free tier.
One honest caveat: for a short period after deletion, a copy of a resume file that had already been downloaded through our content network may still be served from that cache before it expires. The stored file itself is removed at once.
You can also switch off employer contact, or edit or clear individual fields, at any time without deleting the whole account. To ask what we hold about you, write to the address below.
NDT Nation is a professional tool for working industrial inspection personnel. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Our database and file storage are hosted in the United States. If you use the app from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and its version number. The version of the terms you accepted is recorded with your profile.
